While studying physics in Bristol, Tim enjoyed the privileged position of playing lead trumpet with the Bristol Hornstars for not one, not two, but three glorious years. After graduating he had to take a massive step down from the Hornstars to play lead with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra for a year while studying the trumpet at the Birmingham Conservatoire. He is glad to have put that behind him and to be back on the road with the London Hornstars.
