Unfortunately as a York university student Layla didn't make the cut for the Bristol Hornstars (Yorkies just don't understand our ways). However, since receiving a performance masters from Trinity Laban Conservatoire, she was able to lie, steal, and deceive her way into the London Hornstars (this is the way of the Yorkie).
As a woodwind doubler she plays clarinet, saxophone, bassoon and flute, but not all at the same time (so really a woodwind quadrupler), specialising in musical theatre. Pre pandemic she performed with the London Musical Theatre Orchestra for Lucie Jones Live at the Adelphi in the West End.
